[United Kingdom] — The Bookhouse Institute is bringing the magic of treasure hunting back to life — one puzzle at a time.
The staff at the Bookhouse Institute seem to run on good music and damn fine coffee. Oh, and dopamine.
In order to combat the lack of short-term dopamine there is in “spending a year writing a book and hiding a treasure hunt in it that leads to somewhere in the UK where you will find a treasure, and if you find it first you can have it”, we have come up with a series of what we’re calling #BookhouseMicroHunts.
These are small and easy two page treasure hunts that sit across a spread. Solve them, and if you live in the UK we might post you something. But only if you’re the first person to solve it.
Importantly, we don’t want people to solve these quickly because we want to post them on our Instagram everyday until the world gets bored with it. We believe that is how you game the algorithm.
Anyways, we won’t tell you the solution if they get solved, but we will document each MicroHunt in the Archive so that they exist in a place online.
